FAQ's

** As of May 18th, Hostgator is no longer allowing its affiliates to offer a rebate as they have changed their terms of service for being an affiliate. These FAQ's simply display what the process was when we were able to offer the hostgator rebate.

1) How can you offer such a rebate?

Through our special relationships with the host, they provide us a commission every time we refer a customer to them. We think it is only fair to reward some of that commission back to you as the user. Its a Win-Win situation for all of us.

2) How can I sign up for Hosting?

Simply use the links provided on this site and be sure to set/clear your cookies first.

3) you MUST use one of the coupons listed on this website only, any other coupon may void the rebate.

4) Can anyone claim this rebate?

Anyone who is a NEW customer of the host can claim the rebate. If you are an existing customer or have another account with the host, you will not be eligible for the rebate. This includes anyone in your household that may have or had accounts with Hostgator in the past. The checks they use to determine a duplicate order includes billing info, address, and payment methods.

5) How can I claim the rebate?

After  you sign up for a hosting package with the host, fill out our Entry Form. You must  do this immediately after you order your hosting so that we can track your order properly. Failure to do so within 10 days of signing up for the Hosting account will disqualify your rebate eligibility.

you must also (if paying monthly) renew your hosting each month on time during the 100 day period. If you pay your renewal even 1 day late, the rebate will be voided. So to be safe, it is best to pay for one year or longer. We suggest you pay at least quarterly to avoid this issue.

On Time is defined as paying by your INVOICE DATE, not the due date that hostgator displays in their billing system

6) Is my contact information safe?

YES. Absolutely. We value your privacy. We will only use your email address to communicate with you about your rebate status. You will NOT be on a mailing list of any sort nor will your information be sold or bartered ever. see our Privacy Policy.

7) How long does it take to receive my rebate?

After we receive your rebate request and verify your order and signup are valid, It can take anywhere from 61-100 days to receive your rebate from us via paypal. If the paypal payment is not accepted and/or returned undeliverable, your rebate will become null and void.

8) Why so long???

Because the host offers a money back guarantee, we must wait 60 days before your account is verified and paid (prevents fraud). It will take an extra 30 days if your first month is free by using a coupon code on their cheapest package.
e.g. if you sign up in September your rebate will be sent out the first week of December.

9) But I paid for 1 year up front, cant i get my rebate now?

No, not until hostgator reviews your order for all the valid criteria (being new, not a duplicate, making sure you have not cancelled etc... they only do this review after 61-100 days (depending on your order date) so we MUST wait until that review has been completed in order to send out your rebate.

10) If I Find a better online rebate will you match it?

Yes and BETTER! We offer a 110% rebate matching guarantee. We will match their rebate and beat it by 10% of the Difference. All we ask is you send us an email with the link to the site you found so we can verify it. This must be done BEFORE you have signed up for the host, and rebate match can not be completed if you have already done so.

11) Is there a way I can find out my rebate status?

Yes, send us an email to save@hostgatorcoupons.net including your domain and email address you used when filling out our rebate form and we will be happy to let you know the status. Please note that we can not give you a status before the 61-100 day period has elapsed because that is when hostgator reviews all orders.
